Background

After fifteen years as a math teacher, I decided to pivot in my career path. Having already earned a degree in graphic design, I furthered my design skills by completing my UX design certificate at DesignLab. I transitioned into a role as a designer, starting my career at Publix on their UX design team.

Two years later, I am beyond proud of what I have learned and accomplished. I familiarized myself with the Publix Design System and implemented various design components into app screens. I collaborated with fellow designers on several projects, including enhancing the store locator flow, creating an in-store mode, and redesigning the sub product details page. My work on the platters product details page enabled me to engage in user testing, script writing, prototyping, and video data analysis. I had the chance to take on a leadership role in the mobile app projects on filter optimization and consolidated checkout. This involved oversight of design, developer documentation, and QA testing leading up to the launch, allowing me to contribute to all stages of the design process.

In my spare time...

I enjoy exploring new restaurants, working out, and expressing myself through nail art.
